Tips to Impress a Girl Online on Facebook and Twitter

A decade back guys would never have thought of learning how to impress a girl online. But the 21st century and the social networking boom calls for changes, one of them is meeting people online. If you are a guy who wants to impress a girl on Facebook, Twitter or other social networking websites, here are tips that you can use to project a positive personality. You may be surprised to know that posting a picture of six-pack may not be the best way to win your woman's heart.

1) Don't keep updating your status or tweets every few minutes
Unless the girl you are trying to impress spends her life on Facebook and Twitter, you should refrain from updating your status every few minutes. A real guy has things to do and places to be in life.
He is not supposed to be online 24/7. On the flipside, a 21st century guy is also supposed to be active on social networking websites, else he may be called a loner. To play safe and life everything else in life, update your status and tweet in moderation.

2) Stop uploading pictures of yourself in model-like poses
It's good to be proud about your bulging biceps or think that you are mirror cracking material. But if you keep uploading pictures of yourself in model like poses including close-ups of your muscles may very well put off the fairer sex.
If you want to impress a girl online by posting pictures on Facebook or Twitter, upload the ones that have not been taken by you. You should upload pictures in which you are with friends and having a good time. They show that you are fun to hang around with, a quality that every woman loves a man to have.

3) Post messages and tweet about current affairs
The 21st century woman appreciates a guy with brawn and brains. If you are out to impress a certain someone on social networking sites, it is a good idea to post or tweet about current affairs.
While you do that, have an opinion. It can be something as simple as a trending celebrity habit that you disapprove of or something as complicated as a recent government policy that you don't like. It will show the girl that you are much more than just a six-pack.

4) Talk and interact with a variety of friends and contacts
A complete man knows how to interact with different types of people. And that's exactly the image you'd want to portray on your online profile too. On Facebook, make sure that your Timeline has messages from different people talking about different things.
On Twitter, make sure you are interacting with multiple twitter users rather than just bouncing off impromptu and stupid messages with your close knit friends. Girls love guys who are street smart and are good at conversation. Your ability to converse with different people from different backgrounds will make you, well, lovable!

5) Tag yourself in pictures uploaded by other friends
If your friends have uploaded pictures of you, make sure you tag them and let the whole world know that other people want to upload pictures of you in their accounts.
It is a way to show that you are popular amongst your friends and that you are in good company. A woman loves a man who knows how to have a fun time with friends.

6) Build a good following of friends and followers
Just like girls like guys who have a good set of friends, your lady love will love the fact that you have a good set of friends on Facebook and followers on Twitter. Mind you, a good following does not necessarily mean a large following. A good online friend circle comprises of people who have interesting profiles and follow ethical online practices.

7) Don't indulge in cyber bullying or overtly teasing someone online
What you may think of as friendly banter may very well be ripping the self confidence out of someone you are teasing online. No one likes it to befriend a loudmouth or a guy who does not think before he speaks.
Avoid making unnecessary fun of others online because you could be unknowingly be indulging in cyber bullying. If your Facebook Timeline shows that you are a friendly, responsible and respectable guy, your online profile will speak volumes of your real life character and personality.

8) Update your groups and interests
Imagine a girl asking you "Hey what are your hobbies?" or "What are your interests in life?" and you say "Nothing" with a blank look on your face. That would probably ruin your chances to have even a second conversation with that girl, let alone a cozy date.
If you are trying to impress a girl on Facebook or Twitter, you might as well as update your Interests and Hobbies. Imagine that special someone looking at your profile page and reading your interests of Wine Tasting, Hiking, being an art connoisseur, Travelling and Reading as opposed to a blank portion of your profile.

9) Your profile picture matters most
Do you think that using a hunky celebrity's picture as your profile pic on Facebook is going to grab the attention of millions of girls? You may receive hundred of friend requests from fake accounts with fake pictures.
For a real following, make sure that your profile picture is a warm and welcoming photo of yourself. Don't let it be a close up of your face and don't let it be a poser snap. A picture of you in good clothes at a party, event or while just hanging with friend should be a welcome sight.
